Mental health professionals who have completed an EMDRIA Approved Basic/Foundational training have acquired a solid foundation in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, a well-established and effective treatment approach for trauma and other mental health conditions. These professionals have undergone a rigorous training program that meets the standards set by EMDR International Association (EMDRIA), ensuring that they possess the necessary knowledge, skills, and competencies to provide EMDR therapy in an ethical and effective manner.

Skill Level:

This advanced course utilizes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to enhance the knowledge and skills participants gained in previous EMDR training. It delves deeper into the complexities of EMDR therapy and its application in treating gender-expansive clients. The course aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of EMDR therapy, including its underlying theory, research evidence, and best practices with the TGE population. Through a combination of didactic presentations, case studies, and demonstrations, participants will learn how to effectively integrate EMDR into their clinical practice.
