At New Leaf Trauma Institute, we are committed to fostering an inclusive space for all our trainees. We value your feedback and take your concerns seriously. If you have any grievances related to our courses, content, services, or interactions, please follow our grievance policy outlined below:
1. Contact Us
If you encounter a situation that gives rise to a grievance, we encourage you to reach out to us promptly. You can contact us via email at support@newleaftrauma.com.
2. Provide Details
In your communication, please provide as much detail as possible about the issue you are experiencing. This may include the nature of the grievance, the individuals involved, and any supporting evidence.
3. Confidentiality and Privacy
Rest assured that your grievance will be handled with the utmost confidentiality and respect for your privacy. We will only share information on a need-to-know basis with relevant parties involved in the resolution process.
4. Investigation
Upon receiving your grievance, our team will initiate an investigation. We will strive to understand the situation fully and fairly.
5. Resolution
We are committed to resolving grievances promptly and equitably. Once the investigation is complete, we will take appropriate actions to address the issue and prevent its recurrence. This may include, but is not limited to, content removal, staff training, or policy updates.
6. Feedback and Follow-up
We value your feedback throughout this process. After resolution, we welcome your input on the effectiveness of our actions and any further steps that may be necessary.
7. Appeals
If you are dissatisfied with the outcome of the grievance process, you have the option to appeal. Please contact us to initiate the appeals process, and your case will be reviewed by a higher authority.
8. Continuous Improvement
We are committed to continually improving our services and policies to prevent grievances in the future. Your input is vital in this process, and we appreciate your help in making the EMDR Therapy Center for Excellence a better and more inclusive platform.
At the EMDR Therapy Center for Excellence, we understand that life can be unpredictable, and circumstances may arise that require you to cancel your enrollment in our trainings. We are committed to being compassionate and accommodating while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
Please review our cancellation policy below:
1. Cancellation Period & Refund Eligibility:
If cancelling prior to two (2) weeks before a scheduled event, trainees are entitled to a full refund less a 5% processing fee, OR the option to apply the dollar amount paid towards a future training with the EMDR Therapy Center for Excellence.
If cancelling less than two (2) weeks before a scheduled event, trainees are entitled to a 50% refund, OR the option to apply the dollar amount paid toward a future training with the EMDR Therapy Center for Excellence.
3. How to Request a Cancellation:
To initiate a cancellation, please contact me at michael@newleaftrauma.com
Provide your name, order number, and the reason for cancellation.
4. Refund Process:
If eligible, refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days using the same payment method used for the original purchase.
5. Exceptional Circumstances:
We understand that exceptional circumstances may arise, such as medical emergencies or unforeseen personal events. In such cases, please reach out to us, and we will do our best to work with you on a case-by-case basis.
6. Rescheduling:
If you wish to reschedule your training to a later date, please contact us, and we will make every effort to accommodate your request, subject to availability.
7. No-Show Policy:
If you do not attend the training without prior cancellation or rescheduling, you will not be eligible for a refund.
If you terminate your training or need to leave early for any reason, you are not eligible for a refund. Attendance at the entire training is required for our program to remain compliant with EMDRIA standards.
All other situations will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
8. Course Modifications:
New Leaf Trauma Institute reserves the right to modify or cancel a training in exceptional circumstances. In such cases, participants will be offered the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.

All venues used for in-person trainings are ADA-compliant. For both in-person and online trainings, if you require assistance, New Leaf Trauma Institute is committed to making reasonable accommodations.

Continuing education credits offered for each training course vary by each event. Please review the course page for each event for more information about continuing education approvals.
Michael Kuffel/New Leaf Trauma Institute is APPROVED by the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). EMDRIA is not a provider of continuing education, although they do authorize training providers in EMDR therapy after a rigorous approval process. Completion of Part I & Part II constitutes partial training in EMDR Therapy. Completion of required consultation and the learner assessment is needed to receive a full certificate of training from Michael Kuffel at the New Leaf Trauma Institute.
New Leaf Trauma Institute is APPROVED by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7663. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. New Leaf Trauma Institute is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
